Sonic Rush for DS

Video Games. The sequel to 2006's Sonic Rush once again features Sega's star speedster in a series of side-scrolling levels inspired by the hedgehog's previous efforts on the 16-bit Genesis. Returning to the game is a trick system allowing Sonic to perform moves such as the "hop jump" for vertical leaps and the "humming top" for spin attacks. Blaze the Cat is also playable, and both display screens are used to navigate 14 themed levels filled with trampolines, corkscrews, loops, and other crazed contraptions. Wi-Fi support is included for head-to-head battles against a friend as well as leaderboards for the quickest completion times. Slight changes include boss battles now spanning both screens and a reduced number of bottomless pits leading to premature deaths. Sonic Rush Adventure keelhauls the first title's bonus rounds in favor of a seafaring element that consists of exploring islands in search of treasure.
