Not Bad, So Far!

The Bottom Line: I recommend this because of it's high ratings, which I am finding out most are true. Up there witht the big boys, and kills a Cobra!

Review: This is my 2nd detector from Whistler. The 1st was good, but the XTR-690SE is amazing. The ability to see the Ka band frequency is invaluable. Being able to know if the signal is false or a real threat is a savior. Also, the flashing lights on top...

The Whistler XTR-690 SE offers the same high performance of previous Whistler radar detectors and adds Ka MAX MODE. According to the manufacturer, the XTR-690SE will deliver performance very similar to that of a high performance Bel or Escort model - at less than half the price!! The Pro XTR-690SE also provides a unique Signature ID feature for Ka band radar (RSID) and laser. This feature provides more detailed information about the alert you are receiving, and for laser allows you to lock out false alerts based on the pulse rate! The XTR-690 SE also offers all of the features you would expect in a high performance detector, including POP model detection, text display, Real Voice? alerts, digital compass and more.
