The Fernstein features a quality metal alloy construction and is hand soldered and fitted with multi barrel hinges and packaged in a custom hard case to maintain shape. All Von Zipper sunglasses are built with the highest quality optical materials. Every frame begins as a laminated sheet of acetate which is then melted, shaped and then hand-formed to perfection. It's then polished, finished with optical quality hindges and registered for a perfect fit. All Von Zipper lenses offer UVA and UVB protection and all block harmful rays from the sun. Base 8 spherical lens. Polycarbonate lens deliver UV400 protection and Impact Resistance. Distortion free, optically correct and shatter resistant. Nylon Grilamid injected frames are durable, flexible and has a high memory providing a consistent fit every time. Stainless steel optical hinges. Adjustable silicone nose pads and shapeable temples allow for custom fit.
