A 900 MHz analog cordless phone from Uniden, the EXAI 978 comes with a number of useful features, including caller ID with call waiting compatibility and an integrated digital answering system. An autoscan features automatically detects the channel with the least interference, while handset and ringer volume controls allow you to easily adjust the phones settings to your liking.

"If You Call...I Will Answer"

The Bottom Line: If you are looking for an inexpensive answering system, you cannot go wrong with this one.
Review: When it comes to technology, I'd say I'm a good five years out of the loop. My computer still has Windows 98. I still love my old camera, in spite of the fancy digital camera my husband bought me. And I refuse to use voice mail through Bell South...

The Bottom Line: I really just wanted an answering machine, but this phone with the built in has been really good. I've been quite happy with it.

The Bottom Line: Next time I'll upgrade to a multiple handset system and skip the answering machine.
Review: Telephone users, be free! Untether yourselves from your earthly bonds by casting away the antique phone against your head and selecting one that has no cord running to the base! It's a concept who's time has come and you simply must get on the boat...
