It operates on the 5.8 GHz frequency range and brings Call Waiting and Caller ID to the table. It also supports 10 programmable ring tones and a direct link 2-way radio to the other handset in the house. The Uniden TRU9485-2 also provides its users with a one-year warranty out of the factory sealed box.

A great phone (actually two!)

The Bottom Line: This is a great phone system. It has all you could want in a phone. Remote handset can be used anywhere.
Review: The Uniden TRU9485 5.8 GHz Cordless phone is really like adding two phone to your home, office, etc. Thanks to the extension handset, you can add a phone anywhere there is an AC power outlet (to charge the handset). No need to run extra phone wiring...

Review: I bought these phones several months ago to upgrade my old phones. They get heavy use in and around my house. Very durable. I have never used the intercom but am constantly using the handset locater from the base which is great. I have 2 rough kids...
