Cons: Every moment you spend not as Altair. Pedantic Controls.
The Bottom Line: Though the game is a graphical masterpiece with an intelligent theme, the designers ruined it at the design stage by infusing a technological backplot.

Pros: Transcendent visuals. Cool free-running control scheme. Crazy storyline
Cons: Brutally repetitive. Plot often seems intended to justify otherwise questionable design choices.
The Bottom Line: Despite some great ideas, Assassin's Creed is picked off by its own ambition. It's not a bad game, but it was supposed to be great.
