Product Description

 
The 1997 Celica is carried over unchanged except for the addition of Fiesta Blue Metallic exterior paint color. Interior features driver seat with fore-and-aft positioning and adjustable seat cushion; and split folding rear seat which allows for more cargo space. ST models are equipped with Deluxe ETR radio, remote trunk and fuel door releases, tilt steering wheel, dual power remote mirrors and a heavy duty rear defogger. GT models add a cassette, rear window wiper and power windows and door locks. The GT convertible is equipped with a power top that is electro-mechanical to allow manual operation in an emergency situation. Available options include power moonroof, rear spoiler, air conditioning, leather trim package and alloy wheels.

Practical convertible no longer an oxymoron

Great sporty, reliable Toyota

The Bottom Line: The Celica convertible is an excellent sports-type car with great handling and acceptable power.
Review: My g/f and I just purchased a 97 Celica GT Convertible w/ ~50k miles. We actually weren't looking for another impractical car (I have an 89 Supra Turbo) when we went to the dealership but this car just stood out and begged us to take it home.
