Apart from being a portable player of DVD Video and CD Audio discs, Toshiba SDP1900 has a large 9 inch TFT LCD widescreen display and a rechargeable Battery that delivers up to 3.5 hours of playback. This interactive DVD player also has a feature to select an area of the picture to Zoom in on and magnify. Enhanced Digital Processing during moving video or freeze-frame playback can be used to expand letterbox-only films to increase the viewable area onscreen. The 3D Virtual Surround Sound provides simulated surround sound effect from sources that contain only a Stereo soundtrack. Perfect with the Headphone Output jacks. It comes with a rechargeable battery, an AC adapter, and a Car Cord for use virtually anywhere. It's a great way to keep your children entertained on long car trips.

Well-built, multi-function portable DVD player

The Bottom Line: Very good if you want a capable DVD player for travel use.
Review: I started to look for a portable DVD player as we're going to have an intercontinental flight with our 3-yr old son. We need something to occupy him besides his books and toys. My on-line research led me to the SDP1900.

Above average portable DVD player

The Bottom Line: In portable world battery life is the key. Although other features are average this DVD player has long a battery hold. I do recommend it
Review: After browsing different brand names like Sony, Zenith, Philips I come up with the Toshiba SD-1900 for $169 at Best Buy. Since I pay a bit steep, I ll be more critical on quality and features.

Review: I did my homework on this item and thought I had purchased a quality product, HAH! This "thing" worked about 4 times and now all I get is "invalid disc". Well, I've tried the same disc again and I get the same code over and over...how can it play...
