A Magical Story of Life

Pros: Incredible and breathtaking account of life and history with unforgettable characters and very poetic prose

Cons: May be confusing, not your typical linear timeline and a large number of characters

The Lingering Memories from The Temple of My Familiar by Alice Walker

Pros: A riveting novel with colorful language, fascinating characters and settings varying from primal to exotic.

Cons: Continuity is challenging due to constant changes in time, character and locale; understandable,however given topic.

The Bottom Line: This book challenges the reader to research on so many varying topics. It is an absolutely absorbing novel which stays with you in a wonderful way. Eye opening, mind expanding.

Review: This novel challenges the reader to research history that has not been printed. The reader is left to find clues in our history that have led Alice Walker to these wonderfully written "memories." The expansion of this body of work is quite wide, yet...
