Hmong Means Free Man

Pros: Now Required Reading For Medical Students so they have a better understanding of different cultures
Cons: Would have liked Hmong terms written in English
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this book to anyone who likes reading true stories or anyone that likes to read about different cultures .

book will bring you into another culture

Pros: It is a fascinating story. Talks about how two cultures clash. Very informative.
Cons: Fadiman often strays from the main topic.
The Bottom Line: If you want to learn about how two cultures can collide and the effects of it, this is a good book to read.
