Product Description

My Chemical Romance: Gerard Way (vocals); Frank Lero, Ray Toro (guitar); Mikey Way (bass guitar); Bob Bryar (drums). Additional personnel: Cheech Lero, Jamie Muhoberac, Liza Minnelli, Rob Cavallo. Recording information: Eldorado Studios, Burbank, California (2006). On this ambitious 2006 outing, My Chemical Romance boldly follows in the footsteps of Green Day, both in working with producer Rob Cavallo and in taking a conceptual route (a la AMERICAN IDIOT). In addition to bringing--believe it or not--the equally dramatic and eye-liner-loving Liza Minelli on board for a guest appearance, My Chemical Romance proves its theatrical mettle by moving from the melancholy grandeur of "We...

Date of Review:  Jun 7, 2008
The Bottom Line: -
Review: Fanfare plays (sounds of a teenager softly sobbing accompanied by vaguely energetic guitars), and the camera zooms in on a small studio, where three self-important, shadowy figures slouch on three separate sofas.

Stefan Craizalot: Good...

Great CD

Date of Review:  Nov 14, 2007
Review: This CD is a true gem. It is one of my favorite albums of all time. MCR is often criticized for being an Emo band but I am not an Emo rocker and I have found this CD very enjoyable to listen too. If you like the song Welcome to the Black Parade then...

Even "Mom" Likes My Chemical Romance

Date of Review:  Jan 9, 2008
The Bottom Line: While some parents might shy away, give MCR a chance. "The Black Parade" is an excellent album.
Review: As a teenager, I always said I wondered what music would be like when I had teenagers. I grew up in the 1980s to The Cure, Depeche Mode, and other "alternative" bands. My son's now a teen and I'm experiencing today's music from a new frame of mind...
