The Targus Notebook Portable LapDesk is a folding tray that supports a notebook computer or PDA keyboard while on your lap, plane service tray or other surfaces that require more stabilization. The thin design allows the LapDesk to be packed easily in a notebook case along side the computer, while it is sturdy enough to support the heaviest of laptops. The LapDesk also comes featured with an adjustable foot that can improve the cooling efficiency of your laptop by raising the back edge and increasing the airflow around the computer.

Not worth the $20 I paid for it. Not a bad product.

The Bottom Line: I'd try the $8 Handstands model for cooling or likely an $8 fan system to put underneath the notebook. The Targus item here is simply useful for tilting.

A nice little add-on for the notebook computer user

The Bottom Line: A good choice for folks who use their notebooks away from a desk frequently and need a stable, flexible work surface that's light and easily stored.
Review: I bought the Targus LapDesk just over a month ago at Best Buy in Greensboro, North Carolina. I paid about $30 plus tax for it, which at first seems a little expensive given that it appears to be simply a hinged piece of plastic with holes cut here...
