This efficient Air-O-Swiss Ultrasonic humidifiier uses several cutting edge technologies to achieve an optimum quality of environmental control. High-frequency vibrations generate a micro-fine mist, while an Intelligent Temperature Compensation system (ICS) measures humidity relative to the room temperature and automatically adjusts the output to achieve an optimum balance dynamically as conditions change. The water is kept clean with three separate processes that make up the Microbial Protection System: ultrasonic technology, pre-heating, and Ionic Silver Stick. The latter makes use of the proven anti-microbial qualities of Silver, which has proven effective against more than 650 types of bacteria without any chemical additives.

Pros: Beautiful build quality and easy to use controls. Advanced disinfection ability.
Cons: Motor noisy at first (see review).
The Bottom Line:

Won't know until 5-8 years from now if it is still working, but my personal initial experience indicates that you are getting what you paid for.

Pros: Excellent water capacity. Silent operation. Works beautifully out of the box.
Cons: Misleading as it looks like a floor standing model. Expensive.
The Bottom Line: Excellent humidifier especially if it is for a newborn. The vapor that is produced is not hot at all. Very safe for children.

Pros: quieter than most, warm mist available
Cons: doesn't humidify well, expensive, expensive to maintain
The Bottom Line: Buy another humidifier--in fact, buy two, three, or four, since it'll probably cost less than buying this one.
