Enterprise on its missions to outer space, with cast members George Takei, Nichelle Nichols, James Doohan, DeForest Kelley, and, of course, Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner all reprising their now-iconic roles. Though its Saturday morning timeslot marked it as a children's show, the series benefitted from the animated format, which allowed greater creative freedom in the depiction of alien lifeforms and action sequences.
