The Alabama native has a tough, bluesy edge to her voice that belies her tender years on flinty traditional country songs such as the sassy "Takin' off This Pain" and the power-of-music yarn of "The Pickin' Shed." More tender material like "How Big Are Angel Wings" and the stark ballad "Old Memory" show a more vulnerable but equally strong side to this compelling young talent.
