Forget Nikon and Canon - the 300 has all you need plus more

Review: The tilt view finder with LiveView is a combo no other camera in this price range can match. Tilt view finder -- up or down -- makes for great pictures of art work or candid shots of unknowing subjects (held at waist level)adjustable viewfinder

The Sony a300k 10.2MP is a home run for Sony. I bought this product not really knowing what to expect, as I had played around with D-SLR's at Best (Nikon, Canon, as well as Sony) so I had some idea. To say I was shocked would be an understatement The pictures turned out great, no matter how fast, what style, at every setting this camera performs. I give this a solid 5 out of 5 stars, and for being on the low end of the SLR, this is a great entry level for a photographer ready to take it to the next level. This review comes highly recommended. Pros: Picture Quality, Amazing features, 2.7 inch Cons: Price, Price of lenses, Cumbersome
