This compact telephoto zoom lens was exclusively designed for use with digital SLR cameras. The image circle was designed to match the size of the image sensors of digital SLR cameras that also allows compact body and lightweight. Characteristics of digital cameras were taken into consideration when designing the lens power layout, making high-quality images reality through the entire zoom range.

Long reach, few dollars

The Bottom Line: This lens will hold you over until you can buy the Olympus 50-200mm. If you shoot at wide apertures, you're better off with the 40-150mm and cropping your shot.
Review: When I purchased my first digital SLR, I bought into the Olympus E-system because of the advantages I felt it had over the competition, one of which was really great optical performance from the Zuiko digital lenses. And anyone would be hard-pressed...

Cheap Japanese rubbish

The Bottom Line: This should be the de facto choice for a 4/3 zoom lens. You probably won't need anything "better" and the few quirks are nothing you can't live with
