Extended Range Zoom is Slow Off The Blocks

The Bottom Line: The Sigma 28-300mm zoom does work, but is functionally slow, and definitely not usable for everyday photography, and has limited use for fast action.

Versatile "swiss-army" lens. Sharper than its Tamron counterpart

The Bottom Line: Small, cheap, LOTS of zoom, but crop factor takes away wide angle. Sharp up to 200mm, still decent at 300mm. Tamron XR version is a coke bottle by comparison.

The Bottom Line: Unless you DON'T really care about quality, and DO really need 28mm to 300mm in one lens, save your money.
Review: I bought the Sigma Designs IF 28 300mm F3 5 6 3 DL Aspherical Hyperzoom four months ago, and have since shot around 50 rolls of film through this lens. I bought it because I travel frequently, and often need to go back and forth between wide angles...
