The TapeStore Travan 8 allows you to backup up to 8GB of data on a single cartridge, using software data compression. It has an ATAPI interface and features a compressed backup rate of 60MB per minute. It optimizes its transfer rate using the unique FastSense feature, delivering transfer rates up to 600KB per second. ??The TapeStore Travan 8 reads and writes to Travan TR-4 media and is backwards read compatible with QIC-3020, QIC-3010, and QIC-80 media. It is compatible with Windows 95/98, Windows NT, and Netware environments. It can be mounted in a 5.25-inch half height bay with the included rail kit or in a 3.5-inch low profile bay without the kit.
