What a dud.

Review: My experience was very similar to the last review.

Soon after the labor guarantee expired, so did the recorder.

Same problem. Just stopped reading disks. A little checking revealed this is a common problem with this unit.

Review: I bought this machine from Fry's back in September of 2007 for $89. Initially it worked well but after about 3 months, it would not recognize blank, new media. I tried a generic DVD-R from CompUSA, DVD-R from Memorex and DVD-RW from SONY. None...
