They are made of hard plastic with no give and are not adjustable at all!

Review: I bought these headphones, the Philips SHS391 Consumer Headphones, from Circuit City on line (where they were called "Philips Behind-the-Neck Headphones) because I was already making a purchase and they were on sale, $10.49 with a 10% discount...
