Panasonic's high-definition PT-44LCX65 is a liquid-crystal projection television with a broad, 44-inch screen. Its native pixel resolution is a detailed 1,280 x 720, and it comes with a built-in ATSC (DTV) tuner so you'll be set to receive free HD broadcasts right out of the box. More pixels translate into less stair-stepping artifacts, so curved and diagonal image edges look smooth and natural.

Great HD Television

The Bottom Line: As HDTV becomes mainstream, this is a great television with a lot of features to complement HDTV, high-quality DVD players and DVRs.
Review: I purchased the PT-44LCX65 Panasonic 44" LCD projection television at Circuit City earlier this week for $1299. This was an amazing deal considering it cost about $1900 the week before.
