Product Description

 
The Accutune Digital Tuner is a high performance hybrid tuner capable of receiving both digital and analog broadcasts. It uses a signal processor to effectively control noise and distortion, and its proprietary matching circuits allow it to transform and separate digital or analog signals. When digital broadcast signals drop out, generally the picture either disappears or becomes filled with block-noise, but the Accutune Digital Tuner produces a beautiful picture even under difficult reception conditions, such as when there are obstacles interfering with direct signal access. This DVD recorder offers twice the horizontal resolution (500 lines vs. the 250-line standard) of many other DVD recorders when recording in LP mode. What does this mean? It means you can fit up to four hours of recordings on one DVD (4.7GB capacity) and still enjoy the crisp, vibrant and exceptionally detailed images delivered by 500 lines of horizontal resolution.

Some steps forward, some back

The Bottom Line: The EZ37V is very good, but if you have used its predecessor, the ES35V, then you might be a bit disappointed at what is missing.

Excellent and irritating

The Bottom Line: It works to get those family movies from tape to disc, and as a stop-gap recorder until we settle on a dvr (looking forward to fios)
Review: This recorder does a fine job, but is not real smooth in the user friendliness. Why it is still built such that you must turn the unit off and keep it off until a scheduled recording time for it to auto-record is beyond me. This is an old vcr...

Annoying Glitches

The Bottom Line: Discontinued so hard to find anyway but to be avoided.
Glitches and problems far outweigh the end result.

Two Stars only because it does actually produce recordings.
I advise avoiding it.
Review: Really bad software design on this thing and it's full of glitches.
I bought it new in a box but as a clearance item, if I had paid
regular retail I'd have taken it back by now.
