Product Description

Two-time Oscar winner Hillary Swank tries her hand at romantic comedy in this touching film based on the bestselling Irish novel. Holly Kennedy (Swank) and her charming Irish husband Gerry (Gerard Butler) are a young couple struggling to get by in New York City. Their marriage is 10 years strong, and they are madly in love, but the fates soon step in, when Gerry develops cancer and dies. Holly is completely devastated, and her friends Denise (Lisa Kudrow) and Sharon (Gina Gershon) do their best to console her. Her mother (Kathy Bates) and sister, Rose (Nellie Mckay), also offer their support, but it seems nothing can pull Holly out of her grief. Then one day, she begins to receive love letters Gerry penned before his death. The letters are filled with various stories and instructions, and one of them even contains a plan that sends her and her friends on a trip to Ireland. As Gerry's posthumous letters buoy her up, Holly slowly begins to piece her life back together. His letters help her to celebrate the...

P.S. I Love You And I Will Make You Miserable

Date of Review:  May 12, 2008
The Bottom Line: P.S. I Love You is an ok movie, but PMS depressing!
Review: This past weekend was Mother's Day, and I had a fabulous one. Not only did my day entail getting a new Coach purse from hubby (way sweet), I also received breakfast in the morning, a pedicure, manicure and massage and makeover. I was so delighted, I...

He Loved Her, He Really Really Loved Her

Date of Review:  Jun 16, 2008
The Bottom Line: This is a good - feel sad/feel good/feel sad/feel good movie. Hillary Swank and Kathy Bates carry it well.
Review: When this first came out, I didn't want to see this because I'd heard it misled you into thinking it was a feel-good movie, but instead was a tearjerker. So, I watched it against my initial better judgment and discovered that it was both.

Date of Review:  Jul 17, 2008
The Bottom Line: At least in the next James Marsters's film he gets to be the lead..... :-)
Review: O.K., I admit it. I really do like Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Many great young actors came from that show but my favorite is James Marsters. I started watching Torchwood when I learned he was going to be in it. I knew he had a bit part in P.S. I Love...

A difficult movie to get into
2/5 stars
This movie was just pretty boring to me. I couldn't get into the story line, and it didn't touch me the way that this type of movie should. Pros: Good actors Cons: Storyline has gaps, Doesn't get you involved in the story, Takes too long to get to the real point

Best movie to come out in a long time
5/5 stars
This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. I highly recommend it to every one. It will keep you laughing, crying, laughing, and crying again, all throughout the film. It's just all around a great movie.
