Frontier got a new 210-hp supercharged V6 engine, revised styling, and a few new options for 2001. Newly standard was a locking tailgate, and new options included leather upholstery, in-dash CD changer, and steering-wheel audio controls.

The Bottom Line: Although the Toyota Tacoma is a better truck, the Nissan wins big with it's aggressive exterior styling. Get the available supercharged engine to make this purchase worth the money.
Review: Seems like someone slipped the Nissan Frontier design team a ?Mickey,? and at the same time they were all watching Road Warrior. You can?t look at the front of the new Frontier and not think of Mad Max. This is especially true of the Crew Cab, and...

Not sure about this truck...

The Bottom Line: I would steer most people away from this truck. If I had to do it over, I'd have gone for the less flashy but tighter Tacoma.
Review: We loved the styling when we first saw it. It truly is the best looking truck of its kind on the market even today. It drove great, and it was just what we needed at the time so we purchased it with around 22k miles.

Great All Around Truck

The Bottom Line: Great convergance of SUV and pickup. Plenty of useability and it doesn't forget the kids! Reliability is rated in fine Nissan style. Excellent Value
Review: When I started looking for a new vehicle, I had to take into account the fact that I was going to have to haul around 3 little kids. I thought a truck was out of the question, Nissan came to my rescue!
