This wide-to-telephoto lens is ideal for landscapes, full length portraits, travel and general purpose photography. Compact and lightweight, this high performance zoom lens captures 24mm wide angle images with a fast f/2.8 maximum aperture, with autofocus throughout the lens' close-up Macro focusing range. Its maximum Reproduction Ratio (R:R) at 85mm is 1/2 life size (1:2), allowing superb close-up photography. Accepts 72mm filters; HB-25 lens hood.

The Bottom Line: Great lens for sharp photos and extended range for available light photography.
Review: I own a number of Nikon lens sets as I am a photographer. I use them on the D80's and a few D70's. I recently bought the Nikon Nikkor AF 24-85mm f/2.8-4.0D IF Lens.
