The Mountain Dulcimer, otherwise known as the Appalachian Dulcimer, is one of the main instruments used in traditional American music. The Mountain Dulcimer has a fretted neck mounted along an hourglass shaped sound board. The frets of the neck are arranged in a diatonic scale. The single course strings are either stummed or plucked. Your 33 inch Mountain Dulcimer features 4 strings coursing along the rosewood and spruce wooden body. There are heart shaped cut-outs decorating the sound board giving your Mountain Dulcimer that old Appalachian Mountain feel. Your Mountain Dulcimer comes a nylon padded carrying case.
