Pros: Rugged design; lots of features

Cons: Talk button on the front of the unit takes some adjusting to

The Bottom Line: Determine whether you really need the weather-band feature or the rugged casing. If not, the 6200 series may be a better fit. Either way, you're getting a very high-quality radio.
