Effective and quiet

The Bottom Line: If you need a new cable modem and want to have access to DOCSIS in the future this is a very good choice.
Review: The Motorolla Surfboard 6120 is currently (as this review is written) the top of the line Mororolla cable modem. It will work with most cable companies in the United States. This is a replacement for any other current cable modem.

Great Modem, Fast Speed

The Bottom Line: If you modem dies, don't get a Docsis 2.0 modem, get this one instead. It's faster and future-proof.
Review: My old Motorola Surfboard modem died (but see below on this) so I needed to get a new one. Could have replaced it with an (essentially) identical SB5101, but figured it would be better to be prepared for the future with a Docsis 3.0...
