Product Description

 
The 1996 Montero is available in two models--LS and SR. A passenger-side air bag, trailer hitch and exterior paint colors are new for 1996. Safety features include side impact protection and optional anti-lock brakes. A 3.OL V6 engine with five-speed manual transmission is standard for LS. While SR offers a 215 horsepower 3.5L V6 engine with four-speed automatic transmission. A Value Package for LS includes air conditioning, floor mats, spare tire cover and Cargo Kit. A Leather and Wood Package for SR includes variable shocks, leather seating surface and burled wood trim. Standard for both models are front and rear heaters, a leather wrapped steering wheel and side/rear defrosters. A sunroof is optional for LS and standard for SR.
