Ultrium is a high capacity format for "write-intensive" applications. Ideal for server backup, restore and archival applications in stand-alone or automated environments. Ultrium 2 has a native capacity of 200 GB, compressed capacity of 400 GB, with a 20 - 40 MB per second transfer rate, 80 MB per second with compression. Cartridge memory is 4 KB LTO-CM. Manufactured with Maxell patented ceramic coated metal particle tape.
