Good Software, Bad Display

The Bottom Line: Has its strong and weak points. It's good idea to test-drive for couple of days and compare with competing unit.
Review: Recently, I was shopping for a new GPS. So I compared Garmin C330 and this Magellan 1200. They both performed remarkably, both having stronger and weaker points.

Review of the Magellan Roadmate 1200

I bought this during Christmas 2008. I have had nothing but troubles with it. It freezes in the middle of a street all the time. You must keep it plugged in to use it cause the battery dies fast. When you plug it into a laptop you can only charge it and downloading anything is a problem. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I keep it in my car just encase. But that is about it. I bought it from Sears for about 130. Pros: Small, Easy touch screen buttons Cons: Slow loading, Screen Freezes, Cant upload new maps.
