Cooktop of the Future Today

Pros: Sleek, precise, immaculate, cool touch controls. Works beautifully. A joy to look at and own.
Cons: As with all ceramic glass smooth cooktops, you must take care with the surface.
The Bottom Line: Fabulous to work with, beautiful to behold and a joy to own. The KitchenAid KECC508 will be my first choice from now on.

The Perfect Cooktop?

Pros: Stunningly good-looking. Works perfectly. Simple to clean.
Cons: Rather expensive. Vulnerable to blemishing if used carelessly with aluminum.
The Bottom Line: Forget your old objections to electric cooktops. They don't apply here. Excellent heat control. Simple to clean. Style, style, style.
