Very quiet, does an okay job of cleaning

The Bottom Line: If I had it to do again I'd save a couple hundred bucks and get a little lower end unit with controls on the face.
Review: Maybe I had my expectations set too high. We'd had what was (in it's day) a high end Whirlpool for about 13 years that did an ok job as long as we pre-rinsed the dishes before loading them into the dishwasher. I guess I had the mistaken thought that...

The Bottom Line: Do not buy Kitchen Aid products, they are too expensive, unreliable and their customer service generally does not care
Review: We bought this model about four years ago when doing a kitchen remodel. After about one year, the spring mechanism that controls the door opening broke, which we did not fix, we just lived with.
