JVC TD-W254 Single Cassette Deck

JVC's TDW-254 is a dual-well cassette deck with full-logic controls. One transport both records and plays, while the other is for playback only. Like most cassette decks, this dual-well deck is equipped with Dolby B and C noise reduction. More noteworthy, though, is this deck's Dolby HX Pro feature (deck B only). HX Pro optimizes the recording of high frequencies so that you can record with a louder, cleaner signal. Unlike its other noise reducing siblings, whatever machine plays back the recorded tape needn't have HX Pro to reap its benefits. Dual auto-reverse plays back both sides of one tape before switching to the tape in the second well, so that you don't have to feed device as often. Enhanced CompuLink enables system control integration with JVC receivers and other matching JVC componentry. Other conveniences include a headphone jack, a digital counter and fluorescent level meters.
