JVC's new entry-level receiver is the RX-D201S/202B, which combines an extensive feature set with advanced sonics in an affordable and stylish package. At 100 watts x 7, it features nearly all available audio codecs, including Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital EX, DTS, DTS-ES, DTS NEO:6, DTS 96/24, and Dolby Pro Logic IIx, plus a USB input for receiving audio signals from PCs.

Perfect 7.1 For The Average Joe

The Bottom Line: If your looking for an inexpensive 7.1 surround receiver with a few bells and whistles thrown in then I would recommend this receiver.
Review: First of all I am not an audiophile. A matter of fact an audiophile will probably rip his/her hair out of there heads after reading this review. Basically I was looking for an inexpensive (cheap) 7.1 surround sound receiver.

Avoid at all cost.

Review: My 2nd one of these in 1 year fried itself again. I got it as a gift, and have no receipt. JVC will not honor the warranty because "I probably stole it and messed it up, and now want it fixed". Avoid this and JVC.

Review: I bought this receiver from Digital Foto Discount Club in Brooklyn NY. It worked for 4 days then dramatically popped 3 times afterwhich I smelled a burning smell. Now, it powers-up and immediately cuts off. Digital Foto won't send another...
