Dynamic Drum and Time Scan allows for high speed visual search with no lines - with samples of sound played at regular speed. The HR-S9800U provides full editing features, including Flying Erase Head, Audio Dub, Insert Edit and Front Panel S-Video Input. Minimize

Pros: Perfect for video editing, and stylish!

Cons: Learning curve is intermediate, and it's expensive!

The Bottom Line: If you have the money and needs of video editing tools, this is the VCR for you. It looks good and plays good.

Review: Before receiving the JVC HR-S9800U S-VHS VCR in the mail today I used older models and consumer-level VCRs. Nothing compares to this VCR.
