The woofer cone developed for the C608GTi is anodized aluminum. This material moves the first-modal cone-body breakup to a high frequency outside the operating band, significantly reducing distortion and maximizing midrange clarity.An optimized nitrobutylene (NBR) low-loss surround material is used to damp cone breakup modes.A 2" aluminum edge-wound voice coil is used. Using this ribbon-shaped aluminum wire allows us to precisely specify the number of windings in the magnetic gap optimizing motor force for high efficiency and low distortion.
