You can now store up to 250MB of data on a removable Zip data cartridge with the IBM Zip 250MB Internal Drive. It can be used in combination with, or in place of, 1.44MB diskette drives currently installed in commercial desktop computer systems. ??The IBM Zip 250MB Internal Drive features: storage capacity for the equivalent of over 173 1.44MB diskettes on one Zip 250 media cartridge; internal installation with connection to the IDE interface using either existing IDE cabling or the included 2-drop IDE cable; fast ATAPI Zip technology enabling maximum sustained data transfer rate speeds of 2.4MB per second; read/write capability for both Zip 100 and Zip 250MB media; Zip tools with valuable format, backup, copy, and organizing utilities; backup, transport, consolidation, organization, and off-loading of valuable data from network or system hard disk drive; power-down sleep mode to reduce unnecessary electrical power drain.
