HAMPTON COMES ALIVE was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Boxed Recording Package. HAMPTON COMES ALIVE represents the ultimate concert document of one of rock & roll's most popular live attractions. Unlike the band's patchwork 1995 live release, A LIVE ONE, HAMPTON COMES ALIVE is a complete document of two nights of shows that Phish played at the Hampton Coliseum during the band's Fall 1998 tour. As always, Phish manages to sprinkle its set with a number of unlikely and stylistically diverse covers. A bouncy take on Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll Part 2" opens a collection that includes "Quinn the Eskimo," by Bob Dylan, and a typically bluesy "Funky Bitch."
