Faraday’s Law of Induction explains how the relative motion of the built-in magnet sliding between metal coils charges the light’s capacitor. The Bottom Line: Buy a HUMMER Shake Flashlight or two to stash at critical locations in that abandoned mineshaft under your basement. For anywhere else, stick with batteries.
