This DVD contains two tales. In MERMAID IN A MANHOLE, an artist who has recently lost his wife finds a diseased and dying mermaid in a sewer. He brings her home and tries to help her. Though he is only able to watch her slowly die, she encourages him to use her body in the creation of his art. Based on an actual Tokyo police case, HE NEVER DIES looks at an investigation into a case of extreme suicide, in which a man appears to have survived an extraordinarily long time into the destruction of his own body.
