The Bottom Line: If you can only afford one GPS receiver (like me!) for your driving, hiking and bicycling adventures, the Nuvi 500 should be on your short list.

Pros: Big bright screen good software and voices, nice mounting options, attractive appearance

Cons: no internal battery may be an issue for some, premium price

The Bottom Line: A good choice for big-screen resolution, good-sounding nav voices, excellent map graphics, lots of customization possibilities, and safe mounting options for windshield or dash.
