This preloaded, offshore chartplotter combines the power of networking with brilliant color and slim-line design. The GPSMAP 4212 has preloaded BlueChart® g2 maps of the U.S. coast and displays them on a whopping 12.1” XGA display with crisp, video-quality resolution. By connecting to the Garmin Marine Network, you can add sonar, radar and weather. For even more enhanced features, you can add the optional Bluechart g2 Vision card. Minimize

Great Chartplotter

Pros: Chart detail, ease of use, many funtional options (weather!), great screen, cheaper than competitors.

Cons: internal waypoint memory, loss of useful function

The Bottom Line: Very happy after a season of use (Chartplotter/sonar) on my dive charter, especially for the money. My customers appreciate the music an safety afforded by the XM services.

Review: As far as a chartplotter the Garmin 4212 is an exceptional unit. Navigation is intuitive and screen redraw is fast. Viewing is very customizable based on user preference insofar as different viewing perspectives and overlays. It comes loaded with ...
