The standard Duratec 3.0L engine and CVT give Freestyle impressive car-like fuel economy of 20 city/27 highway for front front-wheel-drive models and 19 city/24 highway* for all-wheel-drive models. Freestyle earned NHTSA’s five-star crash test rating – the highest rating available – for both front and side impacts. And it did so without the added benefit of the optional side airbags. Not only do you get a great view, you also get room to stretch with best-in-class+ 1st-, 2nd- and 3rd-row leg room. Room for your stuff is also best-in-class with fold-down 2nd- and 3rd-row seat backs.

The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car to anyone who needs the capacity of a mini-van without the mini-van.
