Evans Standard EC1 Clear Tom Batter Drumhead Package

The Evans EC1 is a coated standard drumhead that features an edge control ring mounted underneath a single ply of 14 mil film. The ring is designed to flex with the motion of the drumheadto control edge vibration, instead of eliminating it. It isolates and dampens the higher overtones inherent in thicker films, thereby balancing the tone and producing a clear pitch without diminishing resonance. With enhanced durability and attack compared to traditional single-ply heads, the Evans EC1 Drumhead is exceptional for more ambient, but high volume applications. A strong adhesive secures the EC ring to the underside of the drumhead. Stress-relief slots in the EC ring allow it to flex with the natural vibration of the head, preventing a "choked" sound. Placement of the EC ring allows the head to vibrate freely over the drum's bearing edge.
