A bluegrass beauty that reflects its Gibson heritage. The Epiphone MB-250 Banjo boasts luminous chrome hardware, white body and neck binding. The intricate inlay work on the headstock and rosewood fingerboard make this banjo hotter than a 2-dollar pistol. Mahogany neck, maple body, and U.S. Remo head project a strong, clear sound. 26-1/4" scale. 1-1/4" nut width.

The Bottom Line: In this price range, try it if you have access. It's a fine buy.
Review: One of the more interesting things about the mid-price banjo market is the relatively low profile of the Epiphone line. One knock on the MB-250 is that it's got an Asian heritage, a distain that goes back to the 70s.
