Performs very well for the cost

Pros: Unbelievably inexpensive with 4 recording speeds.

Cons: Somewhat limited audio and video dynamic range. No firewire input.

The Bottom Line: Perfect for archiving SVHS tapes or dubbing from TIVO or DISH.

A DVD writer that takes some user effort to learn

Pros: It's a great DVD recorder.

Cons: It take's an effort on your part.

The Bottom Line: Like it or love it. Take the time nd effort to learn.
