Pros: The price, acceptable quality for printing text, speed, compact size and substantial paper tray holder.
Cons: Quality of anything other than black text, few features, curls paper a little.
The Bottom Line: You get more than you pay for if you fit in the category of moderate to light printer that has the occasional large print job needed quickly.

Spurn the inkjet, embrace the laser!

Pros: No more ink cartridges! Fast, clear prints
Cons: Unreliable front feed, high power draw, monochromatic

Maybe the Best Bargain Buy

Pros: Decent text. Cheap. Cheap to run. Apple OS X and Linux compatible. AMAZINGLY durable.
Cons: For the price, none. A little flimsy--won't be an heirloom. Graphics printing not very good.
The Bottom Line: This may be the best choice in budget printers. It's so good that I--a lover of old tank-like printers--am thinking of buying one.
