Best for printing checks

Pros: Fast, no jams, low cost per page when using a Max-Filled MICR cartridge.

Cons: As with all lasers, can't print envelopes with larger than normal plastic areas.

The Bottom Line: Best B&W laser that I've tested in the under $500 category.

Review: As part of my job when selling MICR toner cartridges, I must test MANY laser printers to determine which ones can print bank-readable checks and handle check paper without causing paper jams or curling from the high internal temperatures that lasers use ...
